Consists of four dials in series of ranges X1, X10, X100, X1000 having total resistance 11110 ohms. Two ratio dials having resistance of 1, 10, 100, 1000 are provided. Terminals for connecting galvanometer and battery with press keys are also provided. The unknown resistance is connected between two terminals marked ?X?. The instrument can also be used as four dial decade resistance box and two terminals for connecting it in series are also provided.
