The electronic meter has several advantages over the passive type of multimeter. By electronically processing the incoming voltage or current, much greater sensitivity with less circuit loading can be obtained. Field effect transistors, which are basically voltage amplifiers have very high input resistance and therefore take very little current from the circuit, which feeds it. In this experiment you can construct EMM and measure the unknown AC & DC voltages.
