  • More than 1400 PTH solder points.
  • Addition of piggyback mini breadboard increases prototype area.
  • Built-in 8253 Timer/Counter and 8255 PPI I/O.
  • Crystal controlled pacer clock of 5Mhz, 2.5Mhz and 1.25Mhz by jumper selection
  • Fully buffered address, Data, and control lines
  • 25pin D-type connector for connecting user defined signals to and from external world.
  • Screen printed legend identifies various signal lines, connectors
  • Programmable in BASIC, PASCAL, TURBO, C, ASSEMBLY or in any other language as long as it supports I/O capabilities
  • Made to international standards. Double-sided PTH PCB, Soldermask on bare copper, dry film laminated, good plated contacts.
  • A good experimental tool for project/ prototype designs.

Mini Breadboard: This is an ADD-ON to GPC-1 prototype board. This board has more prototyping area. This mini-bread board can be fixed as a PIGGYBACK on the prototype-board using four screws. All the bus signals that are terminated on

GPC-1 can also be brought on this by merely connecting a 50 pin Flat Ribbon Cable. The designed circuit can be wired FIRST on the piggyback, and tested. If the circuit so designed is acceptable, then the same can be wired on the actual PROTOTYPE AREA of GPC-1. This is to avoid any transit damage to GPC-1 prototype board.
Example: Suppose it is desired to design interface for 1. An LVDT 2. A Thermocouple, 3. A Strain gauge circuits using single GPC-1. Then use three MINI-BREAD boards, one for each circuit. Interface each circuit with PC through GPC-1 and evaluate its performance. Finally, you would have experimented interfacing three different circuits, although you have only one GENERAL-PURPOSE PROTOTYPE interface card. Thus, you can progress fast in your instrument design using IBM PC/XT/AT.

Specifications:

  • Suitable for instrument design using an IBM PC, XT, AT
  • 50 Fully buffered Address, Data, Control, and power lines
  • 24 Programmable TTL I/O lines, 3 Timer/Counters
  • 25 Pin D-Connector for external interface
  • I/O address selection by jumpers

NOTE: You must provide an IBM Computer or Compatible system. It must have at least one vacant ISA slot on the motherboard, to enable the ADD-ON card to be inserted, which will communicate with the trainer. The minimum configuration of the system must be any Intel make standard CPU, 32MB RAM, one 1.44?FDD, HDD with any capacity, CD ROM drive, and a color monitor.
